Financial Assistance Programs
At Seine River Skating Club, we believe every child deserves the chance to skate, regardless of financial circumstances. To help families overcome financial barriers, we’ve highlighted the following programs that may provide support.
KidSport Manitoba
KidSport provides grants to children from families facing financial barriers, helping them participate in registered sport programs. Eligible families can receive up to $300 per child each year to cover sport registration fees.
How to Apply:

Applications are reviewed monthly. Submit by the 15th of the month for consideration.
Jumpstart
Jumpstart supports families in financial need with the costs of enrolling children in sport and recreation activities. Grants can help cover registration, equipment, and transportation costs.
How to Apply:

Complete the application and upload proof of financial need (e.g., Canada Child Benefit statement).

Applications must be submitted before the program start date. Applications for past programs are not reviewed.
Chance 2 Grow
Chance 2 Grow funds a wide variety of recreational and educational opportunities for children—from music, art, and dance lessons to gymnastics, swimming, hockey, and figure skating.

Bison Transport – Women to Watch
The Bison Transport Women to Watch program provides grants to help girls and women further their development in sport. Grants of $500 are awarded to athletes, officials, or coaches who identify as female and meet the eligibility criteria. Applications are open to individuals aged 12–23.

Tache Everyone Can Play
The Tache Everyone Can Play program is a fee subsidy program that provides Tache residents with lower annual incomes, the necessary funds to register for recreation programs in Tache (up to 50% of total program fees). Tache believes that participation in recreation programs builds not only healthy residents but healthy communities while enhancing the overall quality of life.
