Financial Assistance Programs

At Seine River Skating Club, we believe every child deserves the chance to skate, regardless of financial circumstances. To help families overcome financial barriers, we’ve highlighted the following programs that may provide support.

KidSport Manitoba

KidSport provides grants to children from families facing financial barriers, helping them participate in registered sport programs. Eligible families can receive up to $300 per child each year to cover sport registration fees.

How to Apply:

Jumpstart

Jumpstart supports families in financial need with the costs of enrolling children in sport and recreation activities. Grants can help cover registration, equipment, and transportation costs.

How to Apply:

  • Visit the Jumpstart Individual Child Grants page.

  • Click “Apply Online” and create or log in to your account.

  • Complete the application and upload proof of financial need (e.g., Canada Child Benefit statement).

  • Applications must be submitted before the program start date. Applications for past programs are not reviewed.

Chance 2 Grow

Chance 2 Grow funds a wide variety of recreational and educational opportunities for children—from music, art, and dance lessons to gymnastics, swimming, hockey, and figure skating.

How to Apply:

Bison Transport – Women to Watch

The Bison Transport Women to Watch program provides grants to help girls and women further their development in sport. Grants of $500 are awarded to athletes, officials, or coaches who identify as female and meet the eligibility criteria. Applications are open to individuals aged 12–23.
