STARSkate

Skill – Test – Achievement – Recognition

The STARSkate program gives skaters the opportunity to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of:

  • Ice Dance

  • Skating Skills

  • Free Skate

  • Artistic Skating

  • Synchronized Skating

Unique to Canada, STARSkate is taught in both group and private lesson formats. The program is designed to be progressive and sequential, with awards and incentives that celebrate each skater’s growth.

Why STARSkate?

STARSkate allows skaters to progress at their own pace while exploring different areas of figure skating. Along the way, they develop:

  • Self-confidence

  • Motivation and determination

  • Time management skills

  • A passion for skating that often lasts a lifetime

Learning a first jump, mastering a three-turn, or skating a dance like the Dutch Waltz are exciting milestones for young skaters. With each new skill, they build confidence in themselves. STARSkate is also a place where friendships form, goals are celebrated, and skaters begin to develop a strong sense of self.
