Canada’s #1 Learn-to-Skate Program for All Ages!
CanSkate is Skate Canada’s flagship program and one of the most popular learn-to-skate programs in the country. Developed by experts, it teaches the fundamentals of skating in a progressive, fun, and engaging way.
Designed for beginners of all ages, CanSkate focuses on fun, participation, and basic skill development.
Skaters learn in a group format led by Skate Canada professional coaches, with support from trained Program Assistants.

Program Objectives
CanSkate is built around the following goals:

Provide participants and families with a safe, welcoming, and inclusive first experience on the ice

Develop skating and motor skills through natural learning phases (introduction, acquisition, retention/mastery)
