Lindsay Wolgemuth

Lindsay started figure skating lessons at the age of 5. Her parents have told her many times that
they enrolled her in figure skating after watching Elizabeth Manely skate her long
program at the 1988 Olympics in Calgary, AB. She enjoyed skating lessons during her childhood and always looked forward to the annual skating carnival the club put on at the end of the season. She enjoyed performing in front of family and friends. In 1997, she fell in love with the sport of figure skating when she watched Tara Lipinski become a World Champion at the age of 14. She was Lindsay's favourite figure skater! After Lindsay's family moved to southern Manitoba, she started to take private lessons and became more competitive, competing throughout Manitoba. Later in life, Lindsay returned to the sport of figure skating when her children started taking
CanSkate lessons at the Seine River Skating Club. She became a member of the Board of Directors and began volunteering as a Program Assistant on the CanSkate sessions.  Lindsay loves coaching CanSkate and Intro-to-StarSkate and sharing her passion and love of the sport with other skaters. She works full time as a Finance Associate with Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods and is a mother of two boys, ages 12 and 8. Lindsay continues to Skate for Life as an adult for exercise and to develop her skating skills. Her favourite jump is the Salchow and her favourite spin is the Back Spin!
